Navgrah Pooja is performed in honor of the all 9 Grah (planets) in Vedic Astrology. The word NAVGRAH combines the meaning of NAV for nine, and GRAH for planets. Navgrah consists of Lord Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangal (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), and the two shadow planets Rahu & Ketu.
